## Company records

Find a company, follow its annual disclosures, and inspect the underlying LCA records.

The company explorer covers FY2022–FY2026. FY2026 is partial through June 30, 2026. Confirm each source's coverage and retrieval date in the returned publication metadata.

H-1B is a nonimmigrant category. LCA certification is not H-1B petition approval. These records do not measure green card processing, lottery selection, or processing durations.

Each row is one disclosed case-year observation. Positions are requested positions; state is the employer address, not the worksite.

## Population and method

LCA counts include H-1B only and all disclosed statuses. Each case is counted once per decision fiscal year; overlapping files use the latest quarterly disclosure. Positions are declared requests, not unique people or actual H-1B petitions. Certified-withdrawn records are not included in the certified column.

USCIS figures count beneficiaries covered by first approval or denial decisions. They exclude pending cases, later appeals, and revocations. They are not lottery registration counts or a filing-year cohort. New employment includes cap-exempt employment and is not a count of lottery winners.

Name matching ignores periods, commas, letter case, and repeated spaces. Reported names are retained as source aliases. Legal suffixes, DBA names, and other punctuation remain significant; subsidiaries and spelling variants are not automatically combined. Missing source matches remain unavailable rather than becoming zero.

## Reading current data

- Use GET /api/companies?q=... to search employer names. Read a company ID from the response; do not invent one or derive it from a display name.
- GET /api/companies/\{company\_id\} returns company totals and annual summaries. GET /api/companies/\{company\_id\}/lca?year=... returns up to 50 case-year records; optional filters are status, state, and soc.
- Retain the returned publication identifier and cursor when paging. Counts, source URLs, retrieval dates, coverage, and checksums belong to the returned verified publication, not this static guide.
- Company pages load records through JavaScript. The Markdown guide contains no company results, and unavailable data must not be interpreted as zero.
